Best ASO tools in 2026
An honest roundup of eight ASO tools, from Astro at $108 a year to Sensor Tower's custom quotes, with prices from each pricing page.

ASO tools all do roughly the same core job. They tell you which keywords people search, how hard each one is to rank for, and where your app ranks today. Where they differ is price, platform, and what they bolt on: review replies, download estimates, Apple Ads management. Prices run from about $9 a month to custom enterprise quotes.
This roundup covers eight app store optimization tools. Every price comes from the tool's own pricing page in October 2026, and the sources are linked at the bottom. Prices change, so check before you pay. I don't make or resell any of these.
What to look for in ASO tools
- Keyword data. Popularity or traffic scores and a difficulty score per keyword, per country.
- Rank tracking. Daily or hourly positions for the keywords you care about.
- Competitor keywords. Which terms your competitors rank for that you don't.
- Keyword limits. Most plans cap how many keywords you can track. This is usually what pushes you to a higher tier.
- Extras. Review management, download estimates and Apple Ads tools. Pay for these only if you'll use them.

Side by side
How to choose
If you ship one or two iOS apps and want keywords, start with Astro or MobileAction Lite. Both cost less than $20 a month. If you want analytics and keywords together, Appfigures does both. If reviews are your main pain, AppFollow. If you run Apple Ads at scale, AppTweak or MobileAction. If you need competitor download and revenue estimates for a board deck, Sensor Tower.
Keyword data is only half of ASO. The other half is what people see on the product page. For metadata limits, check them with our free ASO tool. For the screenshots that turn a search result into a download, that's what AppScreen is for.
